Casa Bianca Wedding – Joanna + Mark

It was such an honor to capture Joanna and Mark’s beautiful Casa Bianca wedding. The ceremony at Saint Michael’s Church brought tears to our eyes! We took tons of bride and groom portraits at Hurd Park during golden hour. Keep reading to hear more about this perfect, dreamy wedding day!

The Love Story

From sipping milkshakes after school to getting married at Casa Bianca, this love story is as classic and romantic as they come! Joanna and Mark were introduced when they were only in 3rd grade, at Sunday school. It wasn’t until high school, however, when they became close friends! One night, after his football game, Joanna and Mark went on their first date. They ordered milkshakes at Cliffs Dairy Maid (If you don’t know it, it’s the best ice cream place ever!) They both stayed as long as they could, pushing their curfews to the last minute. After that first date, as they say, the rest is history! After dating for some time, Mark planned a beach proposal for Joanna at Barnegat Lighthouse in LBI. This romantic walk on the beach was followed by an engagement celebration with both of their families!

Intimate Bridal Preparation at family home

Joanna had an intimate bridal preparation at her family home. We captured gorgeous portraits of Joanna and her mom, sister, and grandma as they got ready for her wedding day. The bridal details included a floral invitation suite, and we had all three rings, making for a gorgeous flat lay. Future brides check out more wedding day detail tips! As if the day wasn’t perfect enough already, we even had a butterfly join us. This symbolized the presence of those who have passed, and it was a special moment.

Groom Preparation in Sussex County

The groom preparations took place at a nearby hotel. The groom wore a floral tie to match the bridal details, with tan shoes and navy suits for the groomsmen. Since Mark is a firefighter, the guys were picked up by a firetruck. Talk about an entrance!

Wedding Ceremony at St. Michael Church

The traditional, Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Michael’s Church was so emotional and special. Mark saw his beautiful bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle toward him! Surrounded by family and friends, Joanna and Mark recited their wedding vows, and said “I do.” As guests blew bubbles, the bride and groom exited the Church for the first time as husband and wife!

Bride and Groom Portraits at Hurd Park

We had plenty of time for bride and groom portraits at Hurd Park before the reception. Due to the three hour gap on the schedule, we had plenty of time for wedding party portraits, family portraits, and husband and wife portraits. The park had beautiful fall foliage, and we made sure to take photos during sunset for the perfect lighting and glow! Elegant Casa Bianca Wedding Reception

Joanna and Mark held an elegant Casa Bianca wedding reception! Casa Bianca is a gorgeous, traditional ballroom. The high ceilings and grand floral centerpieces were stunning! The bride and groom’s first dance song was “Yours” by Russell Dickerson. Father and daughter danced to “You’ll be in my heart” by Phil Collins, and mother and son danced to “Mother like mine” by The Band Perry. Both the maid of honor and best man gave toasts to their love and their future. Joanna and Mark cut the cake, but they weren’t done with cake just yet! They both also had cakes for flipping, which is a long standing tradition in Joanna’s family! We don’t know who had more fun during this epic moment; us or them!
