Grace and Dave’s Wedding at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds was perfect! We had such an amazing time with this kind and loving couple! The day was beautifully planned from start to finish, and we are feeling so lucky to have been a part of it! We could not be happier for these two on their wedding day at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds!
The Love Story
Grace and Dave’s relationship started about three and a half years ago, with a match on a dating app. They had an instant connection on their first date, planning to spend their second date at Six Flags. They bonded over their love for roller coasters, and as the saying goes, the rest is history!
Getting Ready at the Conservatory in Northern NJ
Grace and her bridal party spent the first part of their day getting glammed up at the salon, so that hair and makeup was complete when they arrived at the Conservatory bridal suite. Her color scheme was blush, with subtle pops of burgundy intertwined. We were happy to see pretty loose florals provided by the florist, too! Grace’s mother and maid of honor helped get the bride into her gorgeous dress. Dave and his groomsmen spent this part of the day together in the farmhouse. He wore a Movado watch, custom “D. Yu” cufflinks, and a “Groom” tie clip. The Bride and Groom were both donning Cartier wedding bands, to pull both of their elegant looks together!
First Look at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds
After they finished getting ready, it was time for the big reveal! Grace and Dave did their first look right outside of the venue. Dave was so happy when he saw his bride and saw just how beautiful she looked today! We adore capturing these first look moments for our couples! They’re a great way to get the day started even earlier and our couples who choose a first look, will receive 40% more portraits!
Husband and Wife Portraits at the Conservatory
Even though the day started out as cloudy and overcast, the clouds were no match for the stunning outdoor courtyard at the Conservatory, which has seven different garden areas! We took Grace and Dave out for some extra, glowy photos as soon as we noticed the sun come out, and we captured some beautiful sunshine! Grace has the cutest laugh, and she giggled the whole time throughout the portraits. It was so special for us to be able to capture these husband and wife portraits for Grace and Dave!
Outdoor Ceremony at the Conservatory in Northern New Jersey
Grace and Dave’s outdoor ceremony was phenomenal! We love shooting outdoor ceremonies (natural light FTW!!), and The Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds has quickly been added to our list of favorite venues! Grace and Dave got married in the courtyard of the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, and much of the ceremony was given in Korean, their families’ native language. Both bride and groom wrote their own vows to one another which were sweet and funny. The mother of bride and mother of the groom wore traditional Korean gowns, or Hanbok. There was no shortage of laughter and love from their guests throughout their ceremony!
Elegant Wedding Reception
Grace and Dave held a stunning wedding reception at the Conservatory! With floor to ceiling glass walls, the amount of natural light truly turned the conservatory into a dream come true. With high ceilings and chandeliers throughout the venue, it felt like a fairy-tale! Dave and his mother danced to “A song for mama” by Boyz II Men. As Grace and her father danced to their song, “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole, the music switched to a Korean song “Hanjanhae” and the couple and bridal party surprised everyone with a dance routine! Then, all of the guests joined them on the dance floor! We had an incredible time getting to know Grace and Dave, and we could not be happier for you two!
