We did Katie and Nick’s Engagement Session at Westhaven Farm in Allentown, NJ and it was a blast! They are so cute together and are the sweetest couple! And let me tell you, they were NATURALS in front of the camera! I absolutely can’t wait to share some of my favorites from their beautiful Engagement session!
The Love Story
Katie and Nick met on a ski trip at Blue Mountain. Katie’s best friend was dating Nick’s cousin which is the reason they were all on the trip! Nick and Katie got along so well from the beginning, Nick pulled Katie around with his ski poles on flat areas whenever she would lose momentum. On one of the runs, Katie fell and cut her forehead. They all took a trip to the hospital and Katie ended up needing stitches! A few months after they reconnected and they’ve been dating ever since! Some of their favorite things to do together include hiking and being outdoors, working out together, and binge watching The Office on Netflix!
The Proposal
Nick proposed to Katie while hiking to The Goat Hill Overlook in Lambertville, NJ. Nick planned a hike with their best friends. As soon as they reached the perfect spot overlooking the Delaware River, Nick got down on one knee and asked Katie to marry him! Of course she said ‘YES!’ through tears and excitement! They spent the rest of the time taking pictures with the beautiful scenery to document this special day.
Farm Engagement Session
Katie knew exactly where she wanted to have engagement photos done the day we met for our first consultation! She told me all about her grandmother’s farm and how it would be so special to have photos done there. Her family has owned the farm for sixty years! Her uncle now runs the farm – harvesting crops, running hayrides in the fall and selling Christmas trees and wreathes in the winter. Growing up, Katie spent a lot of time planting flowers with her grandmom, helping with the hayrides and helping her uncle make the wreathes for Christmas. I’m so happy that we were able to hold their engagement session at a place that holds so much sentimental value for our bride!
