The Ryland Inn wedding venue is located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and started as a stagecoach shop and country home. This 220-year-old equestrian estate was built in 1796 and gathered so much attention the owners couldn’t ignore it. As a result, this location underwent a ten-year renovation process. To maintain the integrity of the estate, the owners made sure to reuse the building materials original to the home to preserve its rich history. This now breathtaking wedding venue hosts numerous weddings and special events every year. It features a chef’s garden of heirloom fruits, veggies, and herbs.

Details of the Grounds

The Ryland Inn wedding venue hosts an outdoor space consisting of a lawn for the ceremony with a ballroom or coach house as a backup if there’s bad weather. The reception space homes both an indoor and an outdoor location. The Grand Ballroom is a country farmhouse with modern design elements. This location includes a private courtyard, outdoor bars, stone fireplaces, and elegant chandeliers. The Grand Ballroom can hold up to 225 guests and features 30 ft. windows for stunning photos.

The Coach House is a 200-year-old barn that can host up to 200 guests. The barn reused the original silo and barn materials to refurbish the location and features whitewash ceilings with dark exposed beams. The Essex Room is a stunning location for up to 60 guests, featuring high ceilings and tons of natural light. The marble bar is excellent for intimate events, and the large patio is incredible for cocktail hour.

If you and your party are interested in utilizing the bridal suite and groom’s room, you can opt for two options. The bridal suite is in the 1790 portion of the Ryland Inn and is located upstairs in the main building. With the suite comes a private bathroom, plenty of space for portraits, and an assigned personal assistant. The Groom’s Cottage was originally the Games Keeper’s home. It’s home to the wet bar and billiards room. It also has a barber setup and front porch.
