We had the best time during Elle and Dan’s Willowwood Arboretum Engagement Photos in Chester, New Jersey! They wore the perfect fall outfits and even brought along their best pal, Hooper! I am so excited to share some of my favorites from their session.

A Millenial Love Story

I love that there are so many ways for people to connect with one another! There are meetups, online dating, and phone apps all designed to help people meet their soulmates. Elle and Dan met on Bumble almost 4 years ago. They both swiped right on each other!

For their first date, Dan let Elle pick the place so that she would be comfortable meeting someone new for the first time. They ate at Sogo Japanese restaurant in Denville, New Jersey. Dan was late for their date because he was pulled over, but the cop let him go because Dan explained he was nervous for a date.

Their favorite thing to do together is just spend time with one another and their pup, Hooper! Their ideal weekend is spent camping without cell phone service – hiking with Hooper, fishing and cooking over a fire.

Fireworks Proposal

Dan proposed on the night of the Netcong Fireworks! Elle had no idea because she was running around earlier that day in preparation for her best friend’s bridal shower. As they were getting ready to leave for the fireworks, Dan invited Elle to join him and Hooper. Dan presented the ring box and asked, “Will you marry us?”. Out of excitement (and anxiety.. there were fireworks going off…), Hooper began jumping and knocked the ring box out of Dan’s hands. After it was recovered, Elle said yes!
