Mountain Creek Wedding – Elle and Dan

Couple poses for wedding portraits at Mountain Creek

Wishing a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Elle and Dan on their wedding day!! They had the perfect wedding day at Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ and we’re so excited to share some of our favorites from their day!

The Love Story

They both swiped right on each other! They met on Bumble 4 years ago and decided to take a chance on each other! For their first date, Dan let Elle pick the place so that she would be comfortable meeting someone new for the first time. They ate at Sogo Japanese restaurant in Denville, New Jersey. Dan was late for their date because he was pulled over, but the cop let him go because Dan explained he was nervous for a date.

Their favorite thing to do together is just spend time with one another and their pup, Hooper! Their ideal weekend is spent camping without cell phone service – hiking with Hooper, fishing and cooking over a fire. Read more about their love story and proposal here!

Getting Ready at the Appalachian Hotel

Elle and Dan spent the morning getting ready for their big day at the Appalachian Hotel which is right next door to the Red Tail Lodge at Mountain Creek. It was so convenient to have their getting ready location so close to their ceremony and reception location! We started the day with bridal details and candids. Elle had so many beautiful details for her winter themed wedding. She had beautiful emerald green shoes, a fluffy fur shawl, full invitation suite, her very own velvet ring box and the most stunning earrings! I had so much fun styling her details at the start of the day! Dan and his groomsmen also got ready at the same hotel and had a ton of details as well.

First Look at Mountain Creek

Elle and Dan decided they wanted to have a First Look before their ceremony for a few reasons. The first, was that their ceremony was scheduled to begin after sunset and they wanted to make sure they have portraits taken in natural light. The second, was that they wanted to see each other earlier to be able to spend more time together on their special day! Lastly, they were also able to take all of their immediate and extended family photos before their ceremony and they were able to enjoy their entire cocktail hour!

When we were setting Dan up for the First Look, I asked him if he was nervous and you could tell he was so excited and couldn’t wait to see his beautiful bride! Dan definitely teared up as he twirled Elle and took in her full bridal look. It was such a sweet moment!

Mountain Creek Wedding Ceremony

Elle and Dan had a beautiful winter themed ceremony at Mountain Creek. The ceremony backdrop was beautiful evergreen trees with white twinkle lights! It was so pretty! There were definitely tears from the bride, groom and their guests as Elle walked down the aisle. Yes, you read that right! Even after their First Look, Dan became emotional during their ceremony!

Mountain Creek Wedding Reception

The ballroom at the Red Tail Lodge is the perfect venue for a Christmas/winter themed wedding! The tables were decorated with tall vases filled with greenery and branches. During their first dance, they had the DJ fill the dance floor with snow and it was straight out of a fairytale or Christmas movie!

Congratulations again to Elle and Dan! We wish you both (and your doggo, Hooper) a lifetime of happiness and love!
