Princeton University Engagement Session – Mariya and Vitaliy

Mariya and Vitaliy’s Princeton University Engagement Session was so much fun! These two are so down to earth and genuinely nice people. I’m so honored to have had the opportunity to work with them during this special time in their lives!

A New Jersey Love Story

Mariya and Vitaliy have been together for 7 years! They met at a Ukrainian camp ground during the Memorial Day Festival in 2012. They have several mutual friends but somehow had never met before that day! During their first conversation, Mariya and Vitaliy discovered that they both live near Verona Park in New Jersey. Vitaliy had also mentioned that he loved to run at that park. A few weeks went by and Mariya received a text message from Vitaliy. He invited her to go for a run at Verona Park that day! Their first date was spent running in the park followed by sitting by the lake and talking for hours. It was a date that led to many more running dates that summer and is their favorite running spot!

This adventurous couple loves to spend their weekends outdoors. They love doing outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding and running! Following a busy day of adventures, they love to try out new recipes and cook together. They also have a weekly tradition of Nutella Souffle for dessert!

Punta Cana Wedding Proposal

Mariya and Vitaliy got engaged while vacationing in Punta Cana at the Hard Rock Resort. For the longest time, they had a coin jar and joked that this was the “Engagement Ring Fund.” One night after dinner, the two went for a walk on the beach and laid in the cabana to talk and look at the stars. They scrolled through Vitaliy’s phone to look at the photos they had taken that day and Mariya noticed photos of flowers next to their coin jar. The first photo was flowers next to the full coin jar; the second was jar empty; the next had an engagement ring box and in the last photo, the box was open with the engagement ring inside! As Mariya scrolled through the photos, Vitaliy pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him!

Princeton University Engagement Session
