Waterloo Village NJ Engagement Photos – Erin and Eric

It was so much fun walking around Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ with Erin and Eric for their engagement session! Eric is a history buff, so he wanted to take their photos with some history behind it. We decided that Waterloo Village NJ would be the perfect location! I am so excited to share some of my favorites from their session!

The Love Story

Like many millennials, Erin and Eric met online! They talked online for a few weeks and then they eventually decided to meet and make sure they weren’t being catfished by the other, LOL! Erin claimed she HAD been catfished, because Eric’s pictures all had him with a full head of hair. Being that Eric was starting police academy, his head was shaved so she let it slide. Both Erin and Eric love adventures, so for their first date, they went on a hike and off-roading! They ended their date by sharing a beer along the Paulinskill River. They still have that bottle from their very first date displayed in their home.

One of their favorite things to do on the weekend is to travel to small towns along the east coast and rent an Air bnb! They love to find new places to explore breweries and antique shops. Their favorite place to date is State College, PA which is actually where I went to college!! (If we have any fellow Penn Staters reading, I would love to hear from you!)

At Home Proposal

Erin LOVES champagne! I mean, who doesn’t?! So Eric had a plan to propose to Erin in front of their new home with a bottle of champagne. It was the day that they were closing on their house and Eric’s parents set up a bottle of champagne right outside. Eric asked two questions “are you happy?” and “are you excited?” to which Erin answered yes! And then finally, Eric bent down on one knee and asked one last question, “will you marry me?” and of course she said yes to that too!
