The Estate at Farrington Lake Wedding – Katie + Nick

Katie and Nick had the absolute perfect wedding day at The Estate at Farrington Lake. After days of cold and rain, it was a lovely November day!

The Love Story

Katie and Nick met on a ski trip at Blue Mountain. Katie’s best friend was dating Nick’s cousin which is the reason they were all on the trip! Nick and Katie got along so well from the beginning– Nick pulled Katie around with his ski poles whenever she would lose momentum. On one of the runs, Katie fell and cut her forehead open. They all took a trip to the hospital and Katie ended up needing stitches! A few months after the trip, the two reconnected and they’ve been dating ever since! Some of their favorite things to do together include hiking and being outdoors, working out together, and binge watching The Office on Netflix. Getting Ready in the Bride and Groom Suite

Katie and Nick’s wedding day was planned to perfection. They spent the morning getting ready in the bridal house at The Estate at Farrington Lake. Katie and her girls had their hair and makeup done at the salon and all of them were absolutely glowing, especially Katie! Nick and the guys arrived shortly after and were ready to get the party started. We loved the bridal house at the Estate at Farrington Lake and it was the absolute perfect spot for getting ready photos. Neutral furniture, light walls and curtains, and most importantly lots of windows and natural light. Couples take note– if you want amazing getting ready photos, large windows and clean neutral backdrops make for the best locations.

First Look at The Estate at Farrington Lake

We had the absolute honor of capturing not one, but TWO beautiful first looks. Before seeing Nick, Katie wanted to share a special moment with her father. They had the most emotional daddy-daughter first look! It was so beautiful. Katies father immediately started crying the second he saw Katie.

Next up was Katie’s first look with her groom, Nick! We set Nick up in trees next to the water. We asked Katie if Nick was going to cry and she laughed and said “definitely not!” He didn’t cry, but you could definitely see so much excitement in his eyes as he laid his eyes upon his very soon-to-be-wife. They laughed and shared a huge embrace. They held hands as Nick twirled Katie and held her at arms length so he could see the full look.

Wedding Ceremony at The Estate at Farrington Lake

Katie and Nick’s unplugged wedding ceremony took place on the outdoor patio at The Estate at Farrington lake. After Katie and Nicks very large bridal party made it down the aisle, it was Katie’s turn to walk down the aisle with her father. As Katie and Nick joined hands, their eyes were full of excitement and they both had the biggest smiles! As they were pronounced husband and wife, they were able to share their first kiss as a married couple!

Wedding Reception at The Estate at Farrington Lake

The ballroom at The Estate at Farrington lake is so beautiful and we loved shooting there! There are beautiful chandeliers all over the room. The tables were decorated with alternating tall and short centerpieces with fresh flowers and greenery. The colors were perfect for fall– white and blush with pops of red flowers.

When Katie and Nick were announced to their reception, the room erupted with energy celebrating the newlywed couple. Katie and Nick entered the room with the best high energy dance moves! They shared their first dance as husband and wife as well as dances with their parents. Next, Katie danced with her father who had a surprise up his sleeve. He pre-recorded a version of him singing the song “I Loved her First.” It was so beautiful and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room! Finally, Nick and his mother which was also incredibly touching.

Katie and Nick danced the night away and were able to celebrate with their family and friends who have supported them throughout their relationship.

Congratulations again, Katie and Nick!! We love you guys and wish you so many years of love and happiness!
