Berkeley Hotel Wedding – Becky and Will

A huge congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Low! Becky and Will had the most amazing Berkeley Hotel wedding day followed by their intimate reception at Tim McCloone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park, NJ.

The Love Story

Becky and Will’s love story began on eHarmony. They spent their first conversation bonding over their love for dogs. Both of their profiles listed a dog-free life as a no-go, so they hit it off immediately! Will took Becky to The Cheesecake Factory on their first date. Becky told Will she was extremely nervous so when they first met face to face, he gave her a big hug! Becky said this broke the ice and immediately made her feel more comfortable. They were the only ones in the restaurant and spent hours talking and getting to know each other.

The couple spends their time taking their pup Guinness for long walks and to the dog park and hanging out by the pool at Will’s parents’ house.

Getting Ready at the Berkeley Hotel

Becky and Will both got ready for their big day at the Berkeley Hotel. Becky was almost finished with hair and makeup when we arrived and she was already glowing with wedding day vibes! Like most wedding days, we started off the day with bride and groom details. Becky and Will did an amazing job planning out their details! They all fit so beautifully within their overall wedding theme and aesthetic: classy, modern and chic. First, their wedding invitation suite was designed with the twinkle light background of their reception venue, Tim McCloone’s Supper Club, in mind. Becky had 2 bridal bags to the brim with her bridal details, each item more beautiful than the next! Among these items, Jimmy Choo stiletto sandals, a customized pearl ring box, family heirloom rings, and more!

The Berkeley Hotel First Look

Becky and Will decided to have an intimate First Look with just the two of them. We set up their first look in the main level of the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. As he waited to see Becky for the first time, Will became more and more excited as the anticipation grew.

Becky approached Will and gave him a hug around his chest and it was the sweetest moment! Will turned to see the love of his life with the biggest smile on his face. The two admired each other for at least 10 minutes before they turned to us for bride and groom portraits! We highly recommend First Looks to all couples who are wondering if they should do one. It’s the perfect opportunity so spend some true alone time with one another. This is the only time of the day we aren’t running through shot lists or rushing to the next item on the timeline!

Indoor Wedding Ceremony at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel

The ceremony spaces at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel are so beautiful! They are neutral rooms with large windows for plenty of natural light. The ceremony space was decorated with tall vases filled with lovely white and ivory florals and greenery and each aisle had a white lantern at the end of them. Mother of the Bride performed an intimate ceremony for Becky and Will’s immediate family and friends. Guinness, Becky and Will’s fur baby, also made a special appearance during the ceremony.

Husband and Wife Sunset Portraits in Asbury Park

Following the ceremony, we captured husband and wife sunset portraits at the Convention Center in Asbury Park, NJ. We had the most beautiful lighting and sunset. A tip for all couples working on their timeline, schedule portraits about an hour prior to the scheduled sunset time for the best lighting! We walked from The Berkeley Hotel through the Convention Center to Tim McCloone’s Supper Club and took photos along the way. After the First Look, Husband and Wife portrait time is a close second for our favorite parts of the day! We love photographing your families and other guests, but time with our couples is definitely our favorite part!

Wedding Reception at Tim McCloone’s Supper Club

Tim McCloone’s Supper Club was the perfect venue to bring Becky’s intimate and cozy vision to life. Each table was decorated with white and ivory flowers with greenery and lots of candles. During their first dance as husband and wife, the DJ filled the dance floor with snow. Towards the end of the snow, sparklers were then fired in the background which made for the most epic first dance photos!
