There are few things we love more than capturing beautiful Asbury Park Engagement photos! When Grace and Dave told us they wanted to have there engagement photos taken here, we were so thrilled!
The Love Story
Grace and Dave have been together for almost 4 years! They met on Coffee Meets Bagel only two months after Grace moved to New Jersey. They went to BJ’s Brewhouse in Teterboro for their first date. During that date, they discovered they had a mutual love for rollercoasters. Being the thrill seekers that they are, they planned their second date to go to Six Flags! In 2020, the two adopted the sweetest puppy Kong-ii.
New Jersey Surprise Proposal
Dave tried to propose to Grace multiple times early on in 2020. He asked Grace’s parents for their approval on Thanksgiving in 2019 and needless to say, they were so happy for their daughter! Dave’s first plan was to propose to Grace on New Year’s Eve in Edgewater while overlooking NYC. Grace ended up being too tired to go for a stroll, so that plan fell through. For the next few weeks, Dave walked around with the ring in his pocket in hopes that he could convince Grace to go for a walk in the cold. After a few failed attempts, Dave got lucky with some uncharacteristically warm weather and convinced Grace to go for a walk! Dave was finally able to get down on one knee and pop the question!
Asbury Park Engagement Photos
After getting teased with Spring weather the week before, we had some very cold and VERY windy weather for Grace and Dave’s Asbury Park engagement session. We learned that a wind advisory and sand DEFINITELY don’t mix well. Despite the cold, we were able to capture some beautiful engagement photos! The sunset in Asbury Park is so pretty and it was totally worth the frostbite, lol!
