We had the best time photographing Jess and Matt’s Castle at Skylands Manor NJ engagement photos! It was a beautiful sunny day in Northern NJ and we can’t wait to share some of our favorites!
The Love Story
Jess and Matt have been together for 3 years! They met while playing kickball in an adult league in Morristown. They were on the same team and had a group chat with their teammates. Though Jess wasn’t the best player on the team, Matt decided to get Jess’s number from the group chat and sent her a text message separately in order to invite her to his 30th birthday celebration. She didn’t end up going, but they would eventually have their first date and hit it off!
After over 2 years together, Matt decided he was going to pop the question at a nearby park! He wanted it to be a surprise so he told her that their friends were at the park and that their car broke down. They went to “help” their friends but instead got down on one knee!
Skylands Manor NJ Engagement Photos
Jess and Matt picked out the perfect outfits for their Castle at Skylands Manor NJ Summer Engagement photos. Jess wore a beautiful ivory high-low summer dress and Matt wore khakis with a light blue button down shirt. We recommend light colors and solids rather than busy patterns since they look best on camera and also keep viewers from being distracted by their clothing. We had so much fun exploring the grounds and checking out the ponds gardens all around the property. The light poured in through the trees in and it was a dream after so many overcast and rainy days!
Congratulations again, Jess and Matt! We absolutely can’t wait until your wedding day!
