I had so much fun with Laura and Chris during their Hoboken Engagement Session! We met at Stevens University and explored the campus. They even brought along their adorable pup Enzo. He was so excited to be a part of it and so was I!
The Love Story
Laura and Chris met at Stevens University at a fraternity party at Chi Psi. Laura’s best friend from high school was a part of the same fraternity and Laura visited often. After she met Chris, they developed a friendship and stayed friends for about a year. They finally admitted they had feelings for each other and began dating. Chris officially asked Laura to be his girlfriend one night while they were chatting on Skype.
Their first date turned into almost a week long date! Laura went to Stevens to visit the same week Hurricane Sandy hit, she ended up getting stuck in Hoboken for 5 days. The great thing is, neither of them minded and they were able to spend so much time together. They have now been together for 8 years!
Hoboken Proposal
Chris took Laura to Hoboken on Steven’s campus. He told her they were going to Gramaldi’s which was the first restaurant they went to together. He brought her to the cannon on campus which overlooks the NYC skyline. He tapped her on the shoulder and said ‘do you know why I really brought you here?’ Laura thought he was going to make a joke but when she turned around he got on one knee and asked her to marry him. To Laura’s surprise, Chris’s cousin and his fiancé were hiding in the bushes and captured the whole thing on camera! After the proposal, they went to Biergarten for another surprise! Laura’s niece was there to surprise her!
Hoboken Engagement
Laura and Chris’s engagement photo session was so much fun! Even though the spot where Chris proposed is currently blocked off due to construction, we were able to capture some beautiful photos! Stevens University had so many beautiful backdrops to choose from. My favorite part of the session was catching up with Laura and Chris. They are so easy to talk to, so we felt like friends before we even met for the session. They are so friendly and have such easy-going personalities! We also LOVED meeting Enzo!
