For Jessica and Ostap’s New Jersey engagement session, we explored Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown. It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from getting some amazing photos for them during this exciting time! I am so excited to share some of my favorites!
The Love Story
Jessica and Ostap are both EMT’s so they met at work while saving lives! The two worked together for about 8 months before Ostap worked up the courage to ask Jessica out for lunch to a Turkish restaurant. They spent hours talking and getting to know one another. After a week or two, they had what they consider to be their first “official date.” Ostap went to Jessica’s house with flowers and it was the first time they saw each other outside of work and out of their uniforms.
The couple’s favorite thing to do is just spend time together and enjoy one another’s company. They love to cook together while drinking wine and watching their favorite shows.
The Proposal
Ostap says that he knew from the very beginning that Jessica was the woman he wanted to marry. When he was finally ready to pop the question, he had a special surprise for her! The couple loves to hike, so he planned to propose at the waterfall at Croton Gorge Park in New York. As Ostap and Jessica approached the waterfall, Jessica was surprised to see her friends and family there! As Jessica began to cry, Ostap took her hand and got down on one knee. With tears in her eyes, she said “yes!,” and Ostap placed the ring on her finger.
Deep Cut Gardens Engagement Photos
Deep cut gardens is the perfect location for engagement photos. There is so much greenery and a jaw dropping green house on site. Even though it was a rainy day, we were still able to capture beautiful photos to commemorate this special time for them!
