San Diego Engagement Photos – Amanda and Chad

We had the absolute best time taking Amanda and Chad’s San Diego Engagement Photos! It’s crazy to think that I’ve known Chad for about 9 years now! We met at Penn State because we were in the same business fraternity (Phi Beta Lambda, representing!). Phi Beta Lambda was a club where the main focus was business and professional development, as well as networking. When Chad joined the club, he quickly became a part of my friend group. All of us have been on numerous trips together since graduation!

I met Amanda for the first time at a wedding. She was Chad’s date and girlfriend at the time and we definitely hit it off! We stayed in touch and after Chad proposed, we started planning their engagement session! Luckily, we were all planning to be in San Diego during Presidents’ Day weekend so I was able to do their engagement photos at Balboa Park and Ocean Beach in San Diego, California!

The Love Story

Amanda and Chad met through a mutual friend in Chicago one weekend. Living in different states (Amanda in Michigan and Chad in Houston), they didn’t see each other for a year and a half. After graduating from Michigan State University, Amanda eventually moved to Dallas! She made plans to go to Houston one weekend and decided to text Chad to see if he wanted to meet up. After that weekend, the rest is history! They eventually moved to San Francisco together, where they are currently living with their sweet labradoodle, Breck.

Amanda and Chad love to do anything outside! They go hiking, golfing, and of course take Breck on long walks. They also love to do wine tasting in Napa and spend weekends skiing in Tahoe.

Napa Wedding Proposal

On December 1st, 2018 Amanda and Chad took a party bus to Napa with 14 of their friends to go wine tasting. After their first tasting, Chad asked Amanda if she would walk along the vineyard with him. As they walked, Amanda noticed Chad was looking at her strangely and she asked him why. She turned around and saw all of their friends lined up and also saw Breck bounding down the vineyard towards them! As Breck approached, Chad pulled a box off of his collar, got down on one knee and proposed!
