Nikki and Reed SLAYED their spring engagement photo session at the Willowwood Arboretum! I cannot even count how many different types of flowers were in bloom! From the purple wisteria to the lilac bushes, this engagement session at the Willowwood NJ was one for the ages!
The Love Story
Nikki + Reed’s love story is something of a classic sitcom, if you ask me! It goes like this: guy meets girl at bar; girl goes on date with guy; they fall in love… and as they say, “the rest is history!” Nikki and Reed, acquaintances from high school, ran into each other at a local bar one night, and they have been attached at the hip ever since! The chemistry on the night they met left them talking together for hours and hours, until they finally exchanged numbers.
Their first date was not romantic, but it is hilarious now for them to look back on! Nikki agreed to see the movie ‘Don’t Breathe’ with Reed in Middletown, New York. Spoiler alert: If you do not know, it is a scary movie with some, um, graphic, scenes. They both left the theater traumatized! The plus side is that now, this is just another silly story to tell their kids one day (when they are old enough)!
New Jersey Intimate Proposal
Reed proposed to Nikki on Saturday October 17, 2020. On proposal day, the weather was flawless and there was not a cloud in the sky. Reed took Nikki hiking at the Ramapo Reservation, and half way up the mountain, he stopped to take a picture. Reed waited until they were alone, and then he set up his camera and pressed record. He got down on one knee, and asked Nikki if she would marry him! She said yes, and it was such a sweet and intimate moment for just the two of them. Then, to end the evening, Reed turned a four-year anniversary dinner into a surprise engagement celebration by inviting their families to join them!
Willowwood NJ Engagement
Pop the champagne, she’s changing her name! Nikki and Reed’s engagement session at the Willowwood NJ reminds me of a fairytale come to life! Nikki + Reed were such a dream to work with. Even though they were nervous at first, they looked incredible! In no time, we were all laughing, and I could tell they were getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera! The sun was peeking through all of the trees and leaves, creating a beautiful golden glow! Nikki + Reed looked phenomenal in all of their outfits, with the neutral pastels and floral details adding the perfect touch against the bright foliage and greenery. They even brought a bottle of champagne to pop!
Nikki + Reed, I had so much fun getting to know you and I cannot wait until your wedding day!
