Welkinweir Estate Wedding – Bri + Tommy

Bri + Tommy’s Wedding at the Welkinweir Estate in Pottstown PA was a literal dream come true! We had an incredible time shooting their breathtaking outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Champagne was popped, tears were shed, and the sun was shining! We were all feeling the love on Bri + Tommy’s dreamy wedding day!

The Love Story

Seven years ago, Bri and Tommy met through a mutual friend, and still laugh about their first date. That’s because for their first date, Bri invited Tommy over for family dinner… Thanksgiving dinner! As crazy as it seemed at the time, Tommy agreed, and he clearly made the right choice!

Bridal Getting Ready at a Pennsylvania Country Home

Bri and her bridesmaids got ready in Gordonville, PA. The beautiful country home she picked out had the best of both worlds: natural light, and neutral furniture! Bri and her girls wore matching robes, while getting pampered with hair and makeup. After everyone was ready, we captured an epic champagne pop outside in the sunshine! Bri wore a long cathedral veil, and a long lace train with her Enzoani gown to complete her final look. Bri’s mom, Bernice, became emotional as she watched her daughter and bride-to-be finish up her hair and makeup!

Tommy and his groomsmen prepared for the big day at the Hilton Garden Inn in nearby Exton, PA. He looked dapper in a gray suit and blush pink tie, matching belt + shoes, and Treehut watch!

First look at the Welkinweir Estate

We captured an emotional first look for Bri and her father in front of the Welkinweir Estate to start off our time at the beautiful venue! Although we always recommend a Bride and Groom First Look (see the reasons why here!), some couples opt out of a First Look, we also recommend a Father/Daughter First Look! Not only are you creating precious memories with either type of First Look; you are also getting tons of extra portraits!

Bride + Groom Portraits at Historic Estate Home

Bri + Tommy took husband and wife portraits on the grounds at the historic estate home where they held their ceremony + reception! We snapped some candid shots of the bride and groom running through the open fields, and we caught some epic shots with Bri’s cathedral length veil swaying in the wind! There were lifts, there were laughs, and there was lots of love! Additionally, we are so obsessed with Bri’s beautiful organic bridal bouquet. Organic arrangements like this, look incredible in our “bright and airy” style and the movement in this type of bouquet gives a very luxury look to your photos!

Outdoor Ceremony at Historic Pottstown Estate

Some of our favorite weddings include on site ceremonies, and this wedding was no exception! Bri and Tommy held a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at the Welkinweir Estate in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The bride and groom recited their intimate, hand-written vows underneath a decorated green arch and a crystal chandelier. During their vows, Bri + Tommy both recounted their devotion and commitment to one other. They promised to support each other through thick + thin, and they could not say “I do” without a tribute to their precious cat, Loki!

Tented Wedding Reception at the Welkinweir Estate

During their reception, the newlywed couple sang, laughed, and danced the night away while surrounded by family and friends. Bri’s maid of honor spoke about the many stages of life they have been through together. From elementary school and wearing braces, to college and screaming Fall Out Boy at the top of their lungs, to now being in the others’ wedding, Bri was assured she was supported and loved. Tommy’s best man gave a heartfelt speech, pledging to support his number one mate in this new endeavor of marriage. Their adorable cat Loki was featured on the cake and as their signature cocktail! We organized an epic sparkler exit with the entire wedding party which created an unforgettable final portrait session!

At the end of the night, Bernice, the mother of the bride, gave us a big “thank you” hug and a kiss. We know how special your wedding day is to you and to your family, and this praise and gratitude from parents is one of the best gifts we can receive!
