Skylands Manor Ringwood- Jessica and Eric

I had the best time with Jessica and Eric during their engagement session at the Castle at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, New Jersey!

The Love Story

Jessica and Eric have known each other since they were kids. They would see each other at events but it took many years before they ever started dating. Eric said he tried getting Jessica’s attention for about 4 years before she finally went on a date with him.

For their first date, they went out for coffee and went for a walk. They spent hours talking and catching up. After that very first official date, Jessica said she knew they were meant for each other!

The Proposal

Jessica and Eric absolutely love exploring new places together. One day, they were planning a picnic at a sunflower maze. Little did Jessica know, Eric had something planned that would make this outing even that much more special! As they walked through the maze, Jessica saw some heart balloons and a sign that said “Will you marry me?”. Jessica turned around and saw Eric down on one knee. She was so surprised and excited! A few of there family members were also there to celebrate the sweet couple on their engagement! It was the perfect day.

Engagement Session at the Castle at Skylands Manor

When I asked Jessica and Eric where they would like to have their engagement photos done, Jessica said it would be a great idea to have them done at their wedding venue! I agreed and was so excited to see the beautiful grounds in the summer with all of foliage. It was so much fun touring the grounds with them and seeing all of the potential spots we can utilize on their wedding day next August!
